You will need to notify us if these assumptions are incorrect and you may need to pay additional fees.
What does the insurance cover?
We include Fully Comprehensive Insurance. The hirer is responsible for the excess. Our standard excess is $5,000AUD for drivers 21+ or $3,000 for drivers 25+. This covers the cost of damage to Third Party property including single vehicle accident, towing and recovery costs, theft, fire, break in or vandalism. Insurance also includes the cost of the daily rental rate for the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs. This excess applies in respect of each claim, not rental. If you run into trouble, please let Righteous Kombis know as soon as possible. Righteous Kombis strongly recommend that you have personal travel insurance while traveling. In many cases travel insurance will cover the cost of the excess. If you have an accident or breakdown, Righteous Kombis will either replace your vehicle with a similar one, or refund your hire charge for any days you lose the total use of the vehicle. It is at the discretion of Righteous Kombis as to whether we choose to release another vehicle to you following an accident or breakdown depending on the circumstances.
